Michael A. Patton surrendered his life to the Lord in 1987. He diligently began his work as a foot soldier. It was in 1989, in San Antonio Texas, where he began to realize the call that had been placed on his life to preach the Word of God. He was licensed to preach in 1990 by Rev. Donald Anderson, Sr. of the Greater New Zion Baptist Church in Benton Louisiana and ordained in 2001 by Apostle Dennis Givens of New Horizons Outreach Ministry in South Bend Indiana.During the year of 1999, God put the vision of Kingdom Life Christian Cathedral in Michael Patton's spirit and the birthing process began. Pastor Patton desired an apostolic covering, thus in December 1999 he began to worship with New Horizons Outreach Ministry under the direction and guidance of Apostle Dennis and Pastor Debra Givens. This would be the church to provide the spiritual covering for the ministry that was about to be birthed.
The doors of Kingdom Life Christian Cathedral were first opened on Thursday, November 1, 2001. On that awesome evening, Kingdom Life began bible study with the First Family and one other person in attendance. We began to lease space in the building that we currently have service in at 2618 S. Michigan Street. Pastor Patton feels that God has placed Kingdom Life in this part of the city to be a beacon light to those who are lost, yet seeking salvation. We are grateful to every ministry that reached out and supported us by contributing various items that we would be equipped to spread the gospel.
